HEART SMART

Welcome to the Health Ahead/Heart Smart curriculum for kindergarten through 6th grade. You are about to embark on an innovative health education program that has the potential of influencing and enriching the lives of students, the school staff, families, and the entire community! Our program designed with the classroom teacher and school staff in mind: lessons can be incorporated into other subject areas, i.e. language arts, science, math, music, art; reliable scientific and health information is detailed in an easy to understand format; activities are included to make your job easier and fun for the students; and the classroom is coordinated with school lunch, physical activity, and parent and volunteer programs.
